Additional context:
Regarding no stable-channel release, I consulted this post and my reasoning is quite similar: the snaps have not yet been a Generally Available solution. They are proof of concept that will be used as demonstration for Canonical’s partners. Releasing to stable channel will be certainly making people confused, although I am happy to release a 0.1/stable alternatively.
