Hi Stamati,
As a general rule, snaps owned by Canonical should have the apporpriate metadata filled out and also have at least one stable-channel release. This is particularly important as they will be linked with Canonical’s name and failing to do so may create the impression of incomplete/experimental software which is not what we want to convey from our maintained snaps.
I see that maas-anvil
doesn’t have anything released on a stable-channel yet. Please let me know once you have released something on stable
and I’ll happily complete the transfer.
Thanks,
Odysseus
Thanks Odysseus for clarifying. We’re in the process of rolling out MAAS Anvil as a closed beta, not yet a Generally Available solution, which is why haven’t published anything to the stable channel yet. We will publish to the stable channel once MAAS Anvil is GA.
Alternatively, we could publish a 0.1/stable version to signal non-GA status, but for the closed beta period we much prefer not to have a release on the stable channel.
Considering all of the above, would it be possible to transfer ownership of the snap?
Hi @jurekh,
Thanks for the additional information. It makes sense to us, so I’ve completed the transfer to the Canonical account.
Thanks,
Odysseus
Thank you @odysseus-k, much appreciated!
