I’m using /media
for my NFS mounts in my Linux VMs.
While Ubuntu distros are able to use /media
just fine, my Arch VMs aren’t able to do it.
It’s related to this thread I created regarding Steam Snap on Arch.

Any idea what Ubuntu and other Ubuntu-based distros had that would allow Snaps to access /media
directory normally?
@kenvandine, mind looking at this one?
Or perhaps @alexmurray or @pedronis
As of today, Snaps still can’t open or save anything in /media
on my Arch VM.
Is any of this related ?
It appears to have it working after binding my /media
directory to /run/media
. I still can’t seem to add the NFS mounted drive on Steam, but I’ll figure that part out.
I tested it by saving a file to my NFS, which worked successfully. Retested it after unbinding, and failed.
TL;DR: I have to mount /media
to /run/media
to make it work.
