Hi, I’m a little confused about the process of being a snapcrafter. Because I’m trying to snap a project which doesn’t belong to me, according to this post
I shoud fork this repo and complete all tick boxes.
But now I’m stuck at this step
Ask a Snapcrafters admin to fork your repo into github.com/snapcrafters, and configure the repo for automatic publishing into edge on commit
Could anyone explain why I need to this and how could I contact the admin?
This is only required if Snapcrafters are to own the snap package - it is required in that case because the Snapcrafters need to verify that we can take the workload of maintaining the snap indefinitely. You are free to maintain the snap yourself without Snapcrafters’ involvement, or offload to the project owner if they wish to take ownership of the snap for their project.
