To clarify, the Snap Dump GitHub group I created is actually an attempt to make maintaining snaps better via collaborative effort instead of a place for abandoned snaps, refer Snap Dump: An experiment of maintaining snaps, together, as an organization and A dumping ground for all non-snapcrafters-adopted snaps? for the idea and proposal.
For me, the motivation of snapping an application is mostly the lack of them in the Ubuntu archive, or the ones in it are buggy, too old, or simply that I’m too lazy to build them from source twice. It just happens to be that many of them that meets the criteria
