Hey @trixon
removable-media interface is considered very sensitive given that users can store any type of documents there. As per the criteria defined in the Process for aliases, auto-connections and tracks, only mature, well-known applications are susceptible to get auto-connection to removable-media interface. -1 from me, as I don’t think that filebydate fits this criteria at the moment (#voteAgainst)
The suggestion in these cases is to use snapctl is-connected to check whether the interface is connected or not and prompt the user with proper indications if needed.
Thanks
Hello @trixon and a Happy New Year ![]()
As @jslarraz mentioned, filebydate does not fit this criteria to get auto-connection to the removable-media interface. So, -1 (#voteAgainst), from my side, too.
0 votes for, 2 against. Not granting auto-connection.
If you need further assistance withy your snap, feel free to ask ![]()
I’m fine for now thanks. I do use the suggestion by @jslarraz prompting the user already so there should not be a problem, I just wanted to make it even easier for the user.
Best wishes
