Ardour is an audio production tool & Digital Audio Workstation. As such it needs auto-connections to various audio-related interfaces & USB in order to use it for audio production with actual hardware.

Perhaps this trick may help: https://snapcraft-alsa.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ I think it does autoconnect audio-record and audio-playback through alsa.
