this is simply not something that Zoom has implemented the same way as chromium did, the --version argument does not work on the deb packaged zoom from zoom.us either it is programmed by zoom to ignore it …

if you want to see the version open the panel indicator menu and click the “about…” item … if you’d want it changed for commandline, i fear you have to ask zoom to change their design.
