Why releases are not promoted to `stable`?

Install wormhole on Linux | Snap Store stable is at 0.13.0 which is year old. edge is at 0.16.0 released two days ago. Few releases are missing magic-wormhole/NEWS.md at master · magic-wormhole/magic-wormhole · GitHub

So why stable is so outdated?

I read that 2 days after your post, the person managing this snap (Brian) has updated the stable to v0.16
