How our company has worked with or used Canonical technologies:
our team actively publishes and updates current cloud-related snaps to provide Ubuntu cloud users with up-to-date tools and services.
Since I’m not at Canonical anymore perhaps my opinion on the official account is less relevant but I don’t see the value in having these in a separate Canonical-but-not-the-official-Canonical account. Just transfer them to the primary one.
There’s an outright reason to consider not splitting them; content interfaces are automatic between snaps of the same publisher and otherwise require store approval.
You’d be splitting the potential for any content snaps to be easily shared amongst yourselves in doing this. It might not be something that actually effects you, but it also easily could over indefinite time.
