Unable to publish snap

Snap newbie here. Getting the following error when trying to publish my snap.

Store operation failed:

  • resource-not-found: Snap not found for name=marklite

I am guessing even though marklite is listed in my profile, the name may not have been approved yet.

Can someone take a look at my request?

When you click on the name on store, are the details listed? Or does it bring up a 404 page?

If it bring up a 404 page, proves that the name has not been approved yet.

If it bring up a snap details settings page, the name has been approved. Maybe you can report to the tool snapcraft repo.

I guess the name has not been approved yet, as there is no listing for it so far. Only this in my profile page:

May i ask what happens when you click on ‘Publish to this name’?

It just takes me to the documentation on how to publish from the command line.

That is when I get the original error listed in my first post when I try to publish.

Thank you, aoyama, for trying to help. It seems Canonical is not interested in helping developers with Snaps, so I guess that is why so many folks are moving to FlatPaks. :frowning:

Pinging this topic… snap name is still not resolving. It’s been a couple of months since I registered it.

I cannot believe someone from Canonical will not address this issue. I have been trying to get someone to tell me what is going on with this registered name here since June 5th. This is sad and embarrassing. This is my final plea before I just give up and go publish on Flatpak.
