Uefi-fw-tools.fwupdmgr refresh fails in Ubuntu Core 16

I installed uefi-fw-tools snap (version 1.5.3-0.7.2+git, Rev.11) on Dell GW3002. When I tried to run the command “uefi-fw-tools.fwupdmgr refresh” the refresh process fails with the following message

“Failed to update metadata: Failed to parse XML: Mismatched XML”.

I removed the snap and re-installed it and still saw the same result. Any idea why I should get the mismatched XML error?

There is a fwupd issue in the UC16 and Ubuntu 16.04, this issue is being tracked in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fwupd/+bug/1829813
should be fixed very soon.
