Transfer ownership of exoscale-cli snap to org

Hi! We would like to transfer ownership of exoscale-cli snap to the official Exoscale organization account (username: exoscaleops). In it’s current state this snap is non-functional due to API version sunset and we want to update it.

Hi @predrag ,

Can you please add the intended recipient as a collaborator to the snap and have them accept the invite they’ll receive by email? This allows us to verify authorization and intent. Please let me know once this is done and I’ll complete the transfer.

Hi @adityagoel28 ,

We don’t know which account is used for publishing the snap as person responsible left the company (it’s not part of snap metadata anywhere). Account is associated with the company email domain (exoscale.com or exoscale.ch), if you can let me know exact email address (send me email) we might be able to recover original account.

We were also considering publishing a new snap package under new name, but it leaves the question of the old one which is not functional and it will confuse users. If it’s possible to delete/archive existing snap that will also solve the problem for us.

Hi @predrag , Sure. I can provide you the email.

Currently the exoscale-cli snap is owned by exoscale username account and the email associated with the account is christopher.glass@exoscale.ch. I hope that helps.

Also It’s not possible to delete the snap, but you can create a new name.

cc @odysseus-k for confirmation on the snap deletion/archive part.

Hi @adityagoel28 . We tried today to recover the old account with christopher.glass@exoscale.ch email but account was not found in the Ubuntu One and we ended up creating a new account with the same email and username: albin-christopher-glass. New account doesn’t own exoscale-cli package though so we are back to square one. Any way to re-link the package to the new account? Thanks

Hi,

Upon investigating the current scenario and the options, I have transferred the snap to the new account. I hope that works.

Best,
Aditya

Thanks @adityagoel28 , with your help we were able to recover the snap ownership. Best!
