Track request for `gimp`

Hey there

Looking to get a new track opened on the gimp snap, ideally named 2.99-openvino.

This is to support the work by @wfrench in feature: integrate OpenVINO AI plugins by frenchwr · Pull Request #304 · snapcrafters/gimp · GitHub.

Once there is upstream support for the OpenVINO plugins in GIMP 3.0, we’ll migrate people there, but for now this new track will allow us to publish somewhere.

Thanks Jon

@drednout Hi. Time passed and openvino integration was implemented so this track have no purpose anymore. Could you delete 2.99-openvino for us?

(We are the new onwers of the Snap but we don’t see a button to delete such track)

From other threads seems that track addition and removal is handled by @adityagoel28 now. Pinging, then

Oh, no. It is not. Discourse says:

@steverydz It is you the responsible for track removal?

No that’s not something I can help with I’m afraid but I’ve flagged this to the store team internally so someone should get back to you soon

Hello,

There is no button to delete tracks because that is not a supported action. The main reason being that devices on the wild can still be tracking that channel.

I see the channel was already closed (you can check in the metrics tab the % of clients that are still tracking it)

Maybe the UI of snapcraft list-tracks could be improved and only show non-closed tracks? Just an idea, will try to raise it in our next cross team meeting

Regards

Ok. Thank you for the info :hugs:.
