Thunderbird and local folder

I have installed Thunderbird 102.3.0 as snap version under Ubuntu 22.04.I have saved important mails on a NAS drive as a local folder and referred to the NAS via the path Account-Local folder. With the deb version I had no problems. But the path given by the snap thunderbird can not be changed. How can I now mount the NAS drive?

Basically I have the same problem. All my ‘old stuff’ is under the ‘/home/shawn/.cache/thunderbird/’ directory. I will do a 'backup of ‘that’ then try this: https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2024/08/install-thunderbird-deb-not-snap-in-ubuntu-24-04

and this -

read both all the way through and look for comments by other people in case steps have changed.
As I recall - there is a way to do at least a config backup of Thunderbird from within T-bird. It would be nice to allow a ‘side loading’ of the data from the snap.
Of course nothing beats a full backup of your home folder. Best of luck, on us both
