Systemd logging error of removed snap

Hello Snapcrafters,

I have a weird behavior where system is reporting process exiting/ configuration file access error of a snap that has been removed. Here is a sample of journalctl output :

Oct 26 12:45:46 mypc simple-openvpn-client.vpn-daemon[200934]: Use --help for more information.

Which is strange here is this snap doesn’t exist anymore

mypc:~$ snap list | grep -i vpn
mypc:~$

and the only existing vpn is the one I have pre-installed with Gnome network manager

mypc:~$ systemctl | grep -i vpn
openvpn.service loaded active exited OpenVPN service

A reboot doesn’t change anything it is still report the same error ( flooding journalctl by the way ) I have tested to re-install and remove --purge the snap but it is still logging in journactl.
Any help to understand why Systemd or maybe snapd still seeing this non-existing app.

Any help much appreciated

Are you sure you did not install this snap in a container or some such ? lxd containers log to the hosts journal by default…

If I did, it was not my intention, maybe done under the hood i’m only using apt and snap on my machine I can see the package on apt side.
