Starting Mir-kiosk app after console-conf

Hello All,

I’m wondering if anyone has a solution for starting Mir-Kiosk after console-conf has run for Ubuntu Core? Our app is an electron app and from what I understand mir-kisok is required for wayland support. Upon first boot, Mir-kiosk covers console conf. This prevents us from registering the device with an SSO account and setting the network connection.

Any ideas or advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi @flightknight22,

First, you should check out Ubuntu Frame:

Mir-kiosk is legacy, not getting updates beyond security fixes.

Second, since you’re building your own image, couldn’t you provision your devices without manual interaction?

See here for some details of how to get there:

In any case, you should be able to use Ctrl+Alt+F1 to switch to the first virtual terminal and console-conf will be available there.
