Snaps installed on Arch can't access /media directory

Application can't see /media in file browser

Snap examples with this behavior: krita, keepassxc. After connecting snaps to removable-media, I am able to click on an image (krita) or a database (keepassxc) outside of $HOME, and choose to open it with the snap app, and indeed it works. However, snaps’ Open.. menus themselves don’t see any other folders on the computer besides $HOME.
