Hello, I’m on Kubuntu and I talk about my experience as desktop user. I often receive the notification asking to close an app because there is a pending update. I find them a bit annoying because:
- they are persistent. I always have to click on the X to close them
- the notification appears immediately when an update is available. IMHO it would be better to try to update the snap “in background” for at least 1 day before showing the notification. I think 99% of the users close any app at least for few seconds in a day. A 1-day delay in the notification would remove almost all the notifications to desktop users making this a good auto-update experience.
- the notifications stack. When an update is installed it could at least remove the “update available” notification:
Are these settings customizable? Not big issues and this behavior may be useful on a server, but on a desktop I find them a bit annoying.
