Snapd 2.67.1 Release Update

Dear Snapd Community,

We are pleased to inform you that we started the release process for snapd release 2.67.1. This version is available in the beta channel for you to test.

Notable updates:

  • Fix apparmor permissions to allow snaps access to kernel modules and firmware on UC24, which also fixes the kernel-modules-control interface on UC24
  • Fix ‘snap run’ getent based user lookup in case of bad PATH (LP2090938)
  • Fix snapd using the incorrect AppArmor version during undo of an refresh
  • Extended hardware-observe interface to allow support riscv_hwprobe syscall and mount-observe interface to allow listmount and statmount syscalls

The snapd snap for 2.67.1 has passed internal QA and is now available in the candidate channel for testing.

Snapd 2.67.1 deb packages for Ubuntu Plucky, Oracular, Noble, Jammy and Focal are now available in the proposed pockets for testing.

We are busy releasing snapd 2.67.1 snap to the stable channel. Progressive releases for amd64, arm64 and armhf started and ppc64el, riscv64 and s390x should be available immediately.

Progressive releases of Snapd 2.67.1 snap to stable completed. Snapd 2.67 is now available in stable for all supported architectures.

Snapd 2.67.1 deb packages for Ubuntu Focal, Jammy, Noble, Oracular and Plucky have been released.
