In the recent releases of snapcraft there are huge slowdowns when exctracting data from debs
According to lsof (i’m just checking with watch -n0 'lsof -p $(pgrep snapcraft)|grep part') the files where it takes more time to process are:
parts/desktop-gtk3/ubuntu/download/humanity-icon-theme_0.6.10.1_all.deb
parts/desktop-gtk3/ubuntu/download/locales-all_2.23-0ubuntu10_amd64.deb
Which are actually only-data debs, maybe bigger than others but I guess not involving much processing. So to me the preparing part takes lots of time (something around to 5 minutes in a quite powerful machine, where before it was just few seconds).
What could be? How can I help in debugging?
