With a regular Tvheadend installation, adding and configuring internal XMLTV epg graber is seamless. You cannot add an Internal XMLTV script in the version installed from SNAP. He says the folder is read-only. How do I add my own script?
Im not sure if tvheadend supports configuring script locations from the UI (VDR user here 
) but snap daemons do in general have write access to /var/snap/<snapname>/current (reflected by the $SNAP_DATA environment variable that you can use) or /var/snap/<snapname>/common ($SNAP_COMMON) … try adding such scripts in one of these dirs and point tvheadend there for execution …
