Snap store throttling refreshes today?

Hello,

I have a geographically diverse team (all within the US) and we are all experiencing issues with refreshing the core20 snap. Is this a known issue this morning? Unfortunately the --offline feature doesn’t appear to work for us, there are some later downstream issues that pop up.

$ sudo snap refresh core20

error: cannot refresh “core20”: unexpectedly empty response from the server (try again later)

$ sudo snap refresh core20

yes, the core{18|20} snap releases are phased currently, the error will go away eventually and you should get the refresh …

Thanks. Do you know if there’s a way in snapcraft to have it not exit when the refresh fails?

Is this by design? Does this mean that once in a while, snapcraft will just fail to build snaps for a couple of hours? Why is it not possible to use the old snap20 until the new version is fully available?

i think there are snapcraft fixes landing for this right now, perhaps @sergiusens can expand on this …

Sorry, I replied to two threads about this, did not catch this one, that is correct, the client side fix is in 6.0.1

and already on the edge channel, making its way onto stable as in the next hours
