Snap-store reverted to 3.31.1?

I just noticed that in my laptop, Ubuntu Software reverted back to Snap Store. And, sure enough, snap info reports version 3.31.1+git187.84b64e0b from april.

What could have happen?

note that the “store” cartegory is actually about the store and build infrastructure, it is an unfortunate coincidence that the new snap is also called snap-store now … i have moved your post into the right category …

Sorry for the confusion and thanks @ogra for the correction.

About the store, it seems I am not alone: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1252134/has-ubuntu-software-been-renamed-to-snap-store

Is this intended or a bug?

You’re definitely not alone. I’ve got exactly the same problem. Someone’s opened an issue in launchpad.

Seems to be solved as of today.
May I should have reported the bug, I just wasn’t sure it was unintentional.

Thanks!

Yes, fixed for me at some point today too.

Is it truly fixed globally or are we seeing a staged rollout here? I just ran snap refresh with no luck, I’m still on 3.31.1+git187…

Here’s my full output:

So I’m tracking latest/stable/ubuntu-20.04 which is 3.36.0-80-g208fd61, which is not the same as latest/stable.

What do you get?

Interesting, I got the same output besides latest/beta - I was following the latest/stable channel however. Manually refreshing snap-store from latest/stable/ubuntu-20.04 fixed the issue for me as well - thank you!

No problem. Glad you got it sorted!
