Snap-store cannot communicate with fwupd snap

After installing the fwupd 1.9.5 stable snap on ubuntu 22.04 and removing the .deb fwupd packages, the snap-store displays the following error message when opened:

Sorry, something went wrong:
An AppArmor policy prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient; type="method_call", sender=":1.112" (uid=1000 pid=5364 comm="/snap/snap-store/959/usr/bin/snap-store --gapplica" label="snap.snap-store.ubuntu-software (enforce)") interface="org.freedesktop.fwupd" member="GetDevices" error name="(unset)" requested_reply="0" destination=":1.116" (uid=0 pid=5805) comm="/snap/fwupd/5154/libexec/fwupd/fwupd " label="snap.fwupd.fwupd (enforce)")

Interacting with fwupdmgr on the command line works as expected, but it looks like the communication between the snap store and fwupd is blocked by AppArmor.
