I have been trying to resolve an issue under Kubuntu with snap processes that do not launch from the launch menu, (or any gui type of launch) but can launch from the terminal Konsole window without issue. There is no error reported when launching from the GUI. There was an error related to AppArmor noted when launching from the CLI but I have since disabled AppArmor to check if that was the issue and still no success. There are two applications that still seem to launch where all others fail namely Firefox and Apache Netbeans.
