Hello all!
I am having trouble with installing the app from my health care provider called barmer-ecare. I have been trying to troubleshoot this myself over the weekend and I am stuck. I updated my version of kubuntu from 20.04 to 22.04 a while ago and I have read that sometimes causes problems.
son@son-desktop:~$ sudo snap install barmer-ecare
error: snap "barmer-ecare" not found

If you need more information, I am happy to supply it. I have an appointment in the university clinic soon and I need compile the reports from other doctors, so help would greatly be appreciated.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix the snap installation on my system?
Thanks in advance.

I tried on my ubuntu 24.04 and canot install this snap too. Same behavior.
I guess something wrong with this snap or we get a snap bug.

This is almost certainly due to geoip controls. The publisher of the snap probably configured it to only be allowed in certain regions or countries. Either you’re not in that country, or your ip is erroneously detected as not being in that country.
Thank you for all the replies so far.
I also noticed some problems with other snaps. For example when I tried to run Kfind:
son@son-desktop:~$ kfind
cannot locate base snap core22: No such file or directory
son@son-desktop:~$ snap list

That it cant find Core22 seems just as odd as the error message above.

2 Questions:
Does this maybe give a hint whats wrong with the snap installation so I can fix it?
If Popey is right, how can I confirm the theory with the GeoIP Controls?
Thanks for all the replies so far.

I just remembered that I have a server in Germany. I ran snap find barmer
and snap info barmer-ecare
. It works from my server in Germany, but not from my server at home in the UK. I think this confirms the assertion that the snap is GeoIP restricted.
