SNAP for Linux Bonic Pup?

Am not able to get this running (nor mmex)in Bionic Pup,19.03. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. This is what I get in terminal:

sudo snap install mmex

error: cannot communicate with server: Post http://localhost/v2/snaps/mmex: dial unix /run/snapd.socket: connect: no such file or directory

Also:

sudo snap install snap-store

error: cannot communicate with server: Post http://localhost/v2/snaps/snap-store: dial unix /run/snapd.socket: connect: no such file or directory

this looks like snapd is not running at all on your system …

Have a look in Puppy Package Manager for snapd. You will need to install this before doing anything with snaps

The snap documentation says that Ubuntu Bionic has snap so hopefully it’s available for you
