Snap connections for network manager disappear after update

When network manager is installed, it automatically adds its snap connections to give it permissions to access network interfaces. We had a few devices update on August 6th (running core18), and suddenly they couldn’t access the modem and our nmcli interface was not exposed. Here’s what I tried:

sudo nmcli c
(process:3663): nmcli-CRITICAL **: Error: Could not create NMClient object: Could not connect: Permission denied.

Investigation showed that none of the snap connections for network manager we saw on our working devices were present on these faulted devices. We manually added the connections, and it began working.

Has anyone had issues with snap connections disappearing after updates? Not necessarily on network manager, but any other snap.
