Signal & Zoom: no sound shared during a screensharing session. Support needed!

Hello everybody.

I have encountered an issue where in Zoom and Signal desktop clients there is no sound shared during the screen sharing session.

There aren’t any sound issues Ubuntu Budgie itself. The other party receives my mic input but not the screen share sound.

Might be the snap and pulseaudio issue?

Can anybody help, please.

Reinstalled the signal snap from the software store. The issue got solved.

The issue is back.

The screen share sound goes away when Bluetooth headphones are connected.

Any ideas how to fix the issue?

you should give us some more information, for a start the full output of snap version and info about what desktop you are running, is it running on top of wayland or Xorg etc etc would be helpful…

Decided to keep the whole inxi -G part, just in case.

Just determined that the sound issue happens when the headphones are connected either bluetooth or not.

Hello!!

Is there any feedback for that issue? Still experiencing it. Only way I can get screen sound is using Laptop built in speakers which is not really good at night. Haven’t got in trouble but still.
