Today (23/11) there has been an update of signal-desktop stable (1.11.0), coming from 6.39.0. The new version doesn’t work. On opening there is an error message with the request to try again. I use Ubuntu 22.04.3 with Wayland. I have reverted towards the 6.39.0 version and I have noticed that there is already a latest/candidate version with the number 6.39.1. These numbers seem to indicate that the uploaded stable version is an erroneous, anomalous version.
Thanks for this reply. Meanwhile the problem has been resolved. Version 6.31.1 (that was candidate/edge) has been uploaded to the latest/stable channel and works as it should.
