Hello forum, on a fresh install of Ubuntu 22.04 I have this problem with other packages, and also pre-installed software:
$ sudo snap install signal-desktop
signal-desktop 5.52.0 from Snapcrafters installed
$ signal-desktop
/user.slice/user-1000.slice/session-5.scope is not a snap cgroup
Please advise !
I don’t have a solution. I’m dropping this note to say that I’ve changed the tag from snapcraft
to snapd
as this is a runtime issue with any snap when a system is in this state, that is a problem that only snapd can solve.
One thing I can suggest, however, is to ensure you’ve tried rebooting (or at the very least, try logging out and then back in again) to clear any state that might be causing a conflict.
Hi and thanks.
Yes I’ve tried rebooting and also reinstalling ubuntu from scratch again.
The problem remains
What desktop environment are you using @longrob604? I suspect you are hitting this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/1951491
