Rockcraft is a tool similar to Snapcraft and Charmcraft created to pack OCI images using the craft language from these other tools. The reasons for requesting classic confinement are of the same nature of that of Snapcraft and Charmcraft.
rockcraft is today under heavy development and published under my name with the intention to transfer to “Canonical” once a certain level of maturity is reached.
The intention of requesting for classic confinement early is that the snap is the main (and only) distribution model for this product/application that our early adopters/testers can use.
