With this fix to lxd:
…it is now possible to pre-seed lxd in Core images.
When doing this, an lxd system user and group are created by snapd at snap install time during first boot.
With the user existing in the extrausers database, console-conf fails to create any additional user.

Ogra do you have more information you could add to the bug? Anything that would help pinpoint the issue.
I’m working on an appliance image currently, but am still busy with the software itself … i’ll soon be coming back to roll pre-seeded images with it and will be able add more info then.
i added instructions how to seed lxd in a core image to the bug …
