Policies for voting for store-asserted autoconnections

It’s just come to my attention that some snap packages have been granted store-asserted autoconnections of interfaces for the sole reason of eliminating syslog spam. While it would be unfair to go back and revoke those permissions to snaps that have already been granted them, I feel it is not appropriate to allow any interface autoconnection for the sole purpose of eliminating syslog spam. I would like the Store Team to clarify their voting procedures to require more than “I don’t like the noise” as valid justification for automatic connections. There MUST (in my opinion) be a valid reason for automatic connections to be granted, such as broken functionality of the snapped application, and syslog spam is NOT a valid reason.
