Hi! I am looking to use the pivot API, so that devices can be provisioned with a minimal image that is signed by our brand store, using which it can then use to pivot/remodel to a target assertion containing all the snaps.
The idea is the minimal OS will be provisioned at manufacturer and when devices are in the final location, they will remodel/pivot to use the target image.
Questions:
- Is pivot same as remodel?
- When using brand store, we need to create a substore-model for each <device serial number, model name> pair that is allowed to pivot to a particular model. Does this mean, I’d have to create one entry for each device to allow it a remodel?
