We are happy to announce an updated stable core snap and an updated stable kernel snap.
On core the snapd release 2.30 is the same as in the previous stable core snap. We did include a selected list of updates and security fixes for other software. The most important part of this is the glibc update that contains fixes for CVE-2017-1000408, CVE-2017-1000409, CVE-2017-15670, CVE-2017-15804, CVE-2017-16997 and CVE-2018-1000001.
There is also a new stable kernel snap with security fixes for spectre and meltdown available. The details for the security fixes can be found here.
