List contents of .snap package


If there a way to see directory structure inside .snap file without installing it?


Snap packages are simply SquashFS archives, use the unsquashfs -l _snap_file_ and unsquashfs -ll _snap_file_ command to see its content.


If you are using Ubuntu 18.04, you can also use less snap-name.snap.

There’s also a way to set this up for 16.04 but I can’t recall how…
