Issue with brave browser

I experienced something similar with Brave browser.

I tried running

Hi, I moved your post to a new topic, can you elaborate more on the problem you are seeing with the brave snap?

I would start my computer and the Brave app which I installed before doesn’t show up in the desktop.

So I usually have to restart.

This time I learned from a forum post which i replied about the above command.

And when I ran it, Brave was said to be “disabled”.

Then maybe a minute later, all of a sudden the Brave appeared in the quick launch as expected.

I think the cause of the problem is brave auto-fresh in progress.

$ snap enable brave
error: snap "brave" has "auto-refresh" change in progress
$ snap changes
ID   Status  Spawn               Ready               Summary
125 Doing today at 20:20 PDT - Auto-refresh snap "brave"
126 Done today at 20:29 PDT today at 20:29 PDT Refresh all snaps: no updates

Why does something go through auto-refresh and why does it take so long?

try:
snap change 125
that should have details …

Indeed when a snap is refreshed, it will momentarily become unavailable to use (this may appear as the desktop icon disappearing on the dock, etc.) but that portion of the auto-refresh change should not happen until after the snap has been downloaded IIRC.

This is what I see

$ snap change 141

snap refresh worked for me

I take this back.
snap refresh does not solve this problem.
