Internal Error: timeout

When trying to run flyway version I get the following error:

internal error, please report: running "flyway" failed: timeout waiting for snap system profiles to get updated

I have tried logging in to snap, but when I enter my username and password I get an “access denied” message, even when I try doing sudo snap login emailAddress

Running snap version gives me:

Please run wsl.exe --update in the Windows terminal (literally, in the Windows context, not in WSL itself), reboot, and try again.
