Hello!
As part of a series of improvements to https://dashboard.snapcraft.io/, we’ve been making UI and URL changes to make the user experience better and niftier. Among those:
-
Unified user-experience with https://snapcraft.io/: we have been, and will continue to, incrementally migrate the look and feel to use the Vanilla framework (https://vanillaframework.io/).
-
Removal of the web upload and release forms, replacing them with help pages redirecting the user to snapcraft: the driver for this change was that these forms are used very little, and they do not provide all the functionality that snapcraft supports.
-
Refactoring of URLs so snaps are identified by their snap names, instead of by a cryptic number. So your former snap URLs like https://dashboard.snapcraft.io/dev/snaps/1234/ will now be something nicer like https://dashboard.snapcraft.io/snaps/your-snap-name/. Old URLs, if you have them bookmarked, will redirect to the new URLs (but we advise updating the bookmarks nevertheless).
-
The /dev/ prefix was removed from snap URLs (but is still present for account and store pages), so previous URLs that looked like /dev/snaps/ are now /snaps/.
If you find any issues or weirdness, please file a bug report in https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapstore/+filebug.
Thanks!
The Snap Store team.
