and subsequent responses over there. Unfortunately, the original topic locked by an account suspended until 2050 (Profile - roadmr - snapcraft.io).
Are you sure the portals are properly functional?
I might be incorrect but userd above is used as a fallback for when the portals aren’t reachable. While the 5 minutes is hardcoded here by snap, for 99% of people they won’t see this interface, they’d see the normal desktop portals and snap can’t influence their timeout.
Give this a try:
@James-Carroll, do you know how to test changing firefox from
sudo snap install firefox --channel=latest/edge
to the default browser like the screenshot shows with portal-test?
I’d still like to change this design, so do you know where to report it?
