See screenshot for errors/warnings. I’ll provide as much detail as I can upon request. I know forums are not a “solve my problem for ME” tool, but I’m relatively new to RPi/Linux in general. As such, when these instructions https://snapcraft.io/install/gimp/raspbian

No errors were noted or observed during the installation procedure as outlined. FYI, this is my first attempt at ever installing/using Snaps or Snapd

you can ignore the ld.so.preload lines, they are harmless and stem from a hack the raspbian guys added to their distro … regarding the last line (and actual failure), you should use the contact url from the snap information and open an issue on the issue tracker:

$ snap info gimp|grep contact 
contact:   https://github.com/snapcrafters/gimp/issues
$
