We recently installed ubuntu 22.04 mate desktop edition. Firefox works with the local account used for install. Our user folders are on an nfs share. Firefox does not work for users with their home folders on the nfs share:
firefox
cannot create user data directory: /home/XXXX/XXX/snap/firefox/1883: permission denied
I tried to chmod 777 the snap folder and subfolders but did not help I tried to link to a folder on the local machione for test but get the same error.
I am at a loss as what to try now. Is it snap that does not work or something else?
