Error downloading snap core (1689)

Running snap install I get this error:

error: cannot perform the following tasks:

  • Download snap “core” (1689) from channel “stable” (unexpected EOF)

Any suggestions?

Looks like some kind of network error. Are you behind a proxy or on a slow / dodgy network? Anything in dmesg around the time when this happens? Can you reproduce it?

Yes, After playing around, the issue was due to having two network connections on the device. One connected to the Public Internet and the other was a private LAN. I disconnected the LAN port and it began to work.
