Will Epiphany (GNOME Web) be update to the latest 3.34?
probably a question to @jbicha (who owns this snap but surely was also very busy the last weeks with helping to release ubuntu 19.10)
I meant to tag, but forgot. Yes I am sure it was a busy week, great release BTW.
Someone need to fix the build. (That page is linked to from here.)
Epiphany is one of the more complex snaps to build since it has quite a few dependencies and new ones. Snaps are currently built off a Ubuntu 18.04 LTS base, which is a bit old for something like the latest Epiphany.
I haven’t had the time or interest to spend much time volunteering on working with snaps, as long as I’m not getting paid anything for open source related work.
looks like harfbuzz enables gobject introspection but doesnt have a
build-packages:
- gobject-introspection
… in the part definition
gobject-introspection is in the build-packages: for epiphany itself, but harfbuzz gets built before that, so likely doesnt have that build-package available at this time
