Docker snap release strategy

Hi,

Recently the docker snap caught us again  It seems all the docker channels got updated in a couple of days, which broke our services from edge to stable. I remember there is a release cycle for a snap from edge β†’ beta β†’ candidate β†’ stable. Can you please share some details how the release cycle looks like? How long will it take from edge to other channels? I saw some posts to ask for tests on a snap. Is there a way to subscribe these updates?

Thanks,

Take the snap Core20 as an example. Its publishing time from oldest to latest: beta < candidate < stable < edge. To my understanding, it should be stable < beta < candidate < edge.

There are no strict rules. It depends on the processes of each Snap’s maintainer(s).
