Hi there! I am the author of Super Productivity and was wondering if the app ratings are retired after some time. My problem is that there have been quite a lot of negative ratings for an earlier version, which was not starting (not even strictly my apps fault, since it was a bug on Ubuntu which affected a lib I am using). It seems that these negative ratings have the same effect, as newer better ratings. Am I stuck with these forever?
Here is the store entry for my app:
They do last forever, but you brought up a good question.

I think ideally older versions of an app should be accounted for less (if this is technically even possible). Maybe factors can be used like so:
- last version * 1
- 1 version ago (time gap has to be at least 2 weeks) * 0.75
- 2 versions ago (time gap has to be at least 2 weeks) * 0.5
- older than a year * 0.1
- older than 2 years * 0.05
If versions cannot be used or if too complicated, we could just use the time the rating was given:
- last month * 1
- last 1-6 month * 0.75
- last 7-12 month * 0.5
- older than a year * 0.1
- older than 2 years * 0.05
