Display full screen message on mir-kiosk

Hi,

Are there any examples of snaps that can display a simple message via mir-kiosk ? Or if nothing current, some suggested application I can use ?

I want to display a full screen banner with a message on it, under certain conditions. I could do a mini-local webapp based on one of the browser kiosk apps, but I was hoping for something simpler. I found a few example message apps for Wayland, but they seem to be built around particular compositors.

Any ideas ?

I don’t see why such an app would be specific to a compositor, have you tried using them with Mir?

Why not try them with Mir as described in the tutorial?

So, I descided on a webapp in the end, as it turned out to be the path of least resistance in this case after all.

Good point though, it should be easy enough to test any of them :+1:
