[Discussion] Patches for supporting libhybris distributions

I was advised to ask here in the forum about this topic.

Hello everyone, I’m back with asking about the current status of supporting libhybris distributions in snapd.

This PR plus a few patches that have been made since implement the support for running libhybris graphics drivers on Ubuntu Touch with Snaps, enable the use of Snaps with system users and even allow for running Docker on capable machines.

Now, this PR has been stale for a while and I’m asking whether interest is still interest, how to proceed and so forth. A rebase on top of recent master is easy, the only question is how to split the patches so that maintainers are willing to take them.

Hi, thanks for flagging this. I’m sorry this PR hasn’t gotten any attention. We’ve executed a minor internal reorganization to hopefully give more attention to contributions like this. Since we have quite a backlog to get through, I unfortunately can’t give you an estimate of when we can look at this. I have put this on our todo though.
